TTI develops an ultra-high power SSPA based on GaN technology for Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) application

TTI develops a 5kW C band SSPA for RARTEL S.A., a Romanian-Italian joint venture specialised in satellite services and applications, in the frame of Space Surveillance and Tracking (SST) in ESA’s SSA Programme.

The equipment will be installed shortly at RARTEL facilities in Cheia (Romania) as part of a system which will be used for understanding the space environment; especially space weather, near-Earth objects, space debris, and being able to forecast related events.

The 5kW C band SSPA is a compact design, covering from 5.80 GHz to 5.85 GHz for indoor operation, based on the latest GaN technology.

TTI is a European leading supplier of high power GaN technology SSPA/BUCs, having a wide commercial portfolio for different frequency bands, output powers, from tens of Watts up to KWs, and an outstanding performance in terms of linearity, multicarrier operation, and reliability. Turnkey solutions, including redundancy, with outdoor and indoor versions.
