TTI powers Santander Teleport satellite communications
TTI has announced that it has successfully delivered another turnkey solution in broadband uplink satellite communications for Santander Teleport, providing a powerful solution for multicarrier uplinks for the Santander-based business.
The solution is based on TTI’s GaN solid state power amplifier (SSPA), which TTI installed and commissioned on site, ensuring a smooth handover to the business.
Santander Teleport chose TTI’s GaN technology because it delivers a high power multicarrier uplink at DBS frequency, with a 1:1 redundancy, offering a robust and reliable solution that is outstanding operationally. It is also the only product on the market based on GaN-tech that is capable of offering a high power solution at DBS band.
The GaN 550W SSPA provides the high power uplink capability needed by the independent Spanish teleport operator to deliver satellite communication services to satellite operators, service providers, enterprises and government organisations. It is one of a series of satellite communications solutions provided to Santander Teleport by TTI since the two businesses first started working together in 2018.
